Partnering Master Class with Ilya Vidrin
December 15th 2-3:30PM
As we all know, dancing is one of the best therapeutic activities that you can do together with your partner. It helps to bring fun and excitement into your lives, and strengthens the invisible bond between two people.... We would like you to join us for our monthly workshops for couples that focus in a very subtle way on developing non-verbal communication skills between two people. All workshops are an hour and a half long. It is the perfect Sunday retreat!
*Pre-register early, space is limited!
On December 15th we are hosting a Partnering Workshop from 2 – 3:30PM. This is a Master class with Ilya Vidrin. Ilya is well versed in many styles of dance ranging from contemporary dance to Ballroom and Latin. He is a former collegiate DanceSport Champion and currently a faculty member of the Harvard University Dance program.
You will explore the roots of physical interaction in a world increasingly disconnected from the body. Through guided physical practice, shared reflection, and facilitated dialogue, the workshop combines the art of dancing together with research of cognitive psychology designed to challenge and enhance interaction. Ilya’s approach features exercises that engage with subtle elements of partnered movement, including touch, proximity, and mutual gaze.
Even though this workshop will focus on connection and partnering, you do not need a partner to participate, and all levels are invited.
Price: $40 per person
